UPDATE October 25, 2016: Owner sold him.
UPDATE October 10: “Cuz’s” PRICE REDUCED! His owner is moving to a new track and does not have the space for “Cuz”. This is a chance to get a really wonderful horse for less than market price. He is safe, sane and sound for a second career as a non-jumping sport horse. He is so quiet that kids can brush him in his stall at the track!
“Cuz” is a stunning 2009, 16.3 hand chestnut Thoroughbred gelding for sale directly from the race track. He has a heart on his forehead. This horse is a “been there done that” kind of guy. He has been racing with same trainer and owner for the past four years. They are finally ready to let him move out of racing and into a great show home. He is vice free. He is super easy to ride on the track and can go without the pony in the afternoon for the races – he is that quiet.
“Cuz” has an old scar on right hind which does not bother him that is his only blemish. He ships, is good for the blacksmith and is up-to-date on everything. It will not take much time for “Cuz” to make the transition to a show or riding horse. He is super kind and even the trainer’s seven-year-old son can brush him loose in his stall. He is a fantastic mover with tons of presence. If you’re looking for a big quiet pleasure horse, “Cuz” could be your horse. He was looked at by a vet who said that a jumping career would not be the best choice for “Cuz”. We can fill you in on the details when you call. Call if you are interested in a sweet kind pleasure horse. Please do not call if you want to jump. We have other more suitable horses for you.
If you are looking for a horse that will be your buddy and be a quiet pleasure to ride, call us about “Cuz”. He wears his heart on his head and deserves to be loved.
CALL if you are interested in any of the horses on this site. We do not have the time or resources to answer PM’s or emails. These horses are pre-screened by our connections at the track. Please READ the FAQ’s and then CALL if you are interested. If you don’t have the time to call, we cannot match you with a horse. We are NOT a Thoroughbred rescue. We do NOT make our living selling these horses. We do NOT own these horses. They are NOT at our farm. If you want to get the “inside track” (pun intended) on getting a Thoroughbred off-the-track…we are your connection.
